OTHER CHARACTERIZATIONS OF THE ABELIAN GROUPS WITH THE DIRECT SUMMAND INTERSECTION PROPERTY

Abstract

This work gives a series of characterizations, others than the previously known ones of the abelian groups with the direct summand intersection property, for short D.S.I.P., that is of those groups in which the intersection of any two direct summand is a direct summand as well. All through this paper by group we mean abelian group in additive notation.
