Drawing and Painting

... using this form of expression to bring out something from within

A short story

This endeavor began unexpectedly during high school. Initially, I worked solely from pictures and photographs. While at university, I expanded into still life, live models, and even worked from imagination. I continued creating during my PhD research in Ireland, where I acquired materials (brushes, pastels) that I didn’t use until 2012! :) After returning from Ireland, I took a break but started again in 2012, drawing alongside my daughter. :) My son also took up drawing and painting! :) Since 2012, I've only worked on a few projects sporadically.

Regarding the materials, I started with pencil and charcoal until 2003. In 2012, I transitioned to soft pastels, then experimented with oil pastels, and even created pieces combining both oil and soft pastels on paper and canvas. In 2012, I began using acrylics for a wall project, as pastels weren't suitable for that. :) In 2014, I even tried acrylics on fabric while working on some projects for my kids.

Below are some of my drawings and paintings, presented in reverse chronological order; primarily the ones that have taught me the most.
