The wolf

I don't recall how I came to draw a wolf, but my previous experience with the Labrador Retriever certainly helped me take on this endeavor.

In the initial stages, I thought I might ruin this drawing since some parts seemed a bit off. However, I chose to continue, accepting that this was my first attempt at drawing a wolf, and I could always create another one afterward. So, I decided to enjoy the process and learn as much as I could while working on this drawing.

In the end, I was pleased with how it turned out. What this drawing taught me was:

Trust the process and not allow the mind to interfere.

The wolf was eventually gifted to a good friend who is also a veterinarian. He mentioned that, although the initial photograph I used as a reference (see below) was of a male wolf, the final result portrayed a female wolf. This insight surprised me and offered a new lesson:

The perspectives of others can be incredibly insightful.
