Requirements and grading
Attendance is compulsory (see
http://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/wp-content/uploads/Hotarare-CDI-15.03.2017.pdf).
This means at most 1 absence at labs and 2 absences at seminaries are allowed,
save for medical or other justified reasons.
Final grade is:
- 60% - written exam - it will take place during the last week of the
semester;
- 40% labs.
Notes:
- minimum grade: 4.5 for labs (a.k.a. practical works), 4.5 for the written exam;
- you are not allowed to take the normal exam without having at least 4.5 at the labs.
- for the written exam, you are allowed with an "official cheat-sheet" - an A4-size paper, written on both sides.
This must be hand-written by the student and will be turned in together with the exam papers.
For the labs:
- for late labs, the penalty is one point per week - that is 2 points for each 2-week period.
- at most 2 practical works can be presented at one lab class.
- at the re-sit exam, you can either:
- present at most one lab, with the penalty corresponding to being presented 2 weeks after week 13/14 (as at lab 8), or
- present all labs, for at most grade 5.
