I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Reims, on 5 November 2009.

Currently working as lecturer professor at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, my professional interests are related to innovative projects and experiments
around the hot topics in Europe today, such as Energy Efficiency, Smart City, Smart Home, e-Society. My technical R&D competencies mainly cover the areas of information
systems interoperability and knowledge modeling applied to various business domains. 

Previously, I was senior researcher at Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France and at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where for several years I was working in various EU
and national projects (EU FP6 3DAH, EU FP7 TAS3, OSCB, etc.). Acted as evaluator and reviewer for the European Commission in several EU Calls and Programmes.
Recently acted as evaluator for the Research Council of Norway. Co-chair of the International Workshop on Methods, Evaluation, Tools and Applications for the Creation
and Consumption of Structured Data for the e-Society (Meta4eS) since 2012. General Workshop Chair at OnTheMove Conferences and Workshops for the previous two
years. Acted as Program Committee member for several prestigious international journals and conferences.

Ioana was awarded the ANIS Fellowship on Big Data, 2018.
Ioana is General Chair of  OnTheMove Workshops 2016.
