Welcome!

The Joint Conferences on Mathematics and Computer Science were first initiated by Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, and the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj in 1994. Their topics include all branches of mathematics, computer science, and their applications (computational mathematics, computational physics, applications in natural sciences, social sciences, economical sciences, etc.), and it is open to the interests of the potential participants.

Following the tradition, the 12th Joint Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science (12th MaCS) will be organized by Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj, Romania, in Săcuieu from June 14 to 17, 2018.

Registration:

The deadline for registration is March 15, 2018. Participants should register online, the registration form can be found on the conference webpage. Please contact the conference organizers for further details (macs 'at' cs.ubbcluj.ro). If there are accompanying persons, please register them, too. A special checkbox is available on the registration form for this purpose.

Abstracts:

The deadline for sending your abstract is March 31, 2018. Please download from our webpage and use the template file “macs-abs.tex”. After completing this file, please upload it using our website. The official language of the meeting is English, please prepare your abstract and your talk in this language. The deadline for acceptance is April 30, 2018.

Proceedings

The proceedings of the conference will appear in the journal Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, series Mathematica, Informatica and Physica. The standard formal requirements of the journal apply for the proceedings, please consult the journal webpage (click on the bolded links above). Submitted papers must present original, non-published work of high quality. The submissions should be sent to the conference e-mail address (not to the journal), the deadline for submitting the camera-ready papers is March 31, 2018. The acceptance of the paper for publication in Studia is not related to the acceptance of the talk for the conference, based on the acceptance of the abstract.

Payment:

The registration fee is 125 EUR. It covers the costs of the conference material, coffee and refreshment drinks during the scientific sessions, conference dinner and the trip. It does not cover accommodation expenses. The registration fee for accompanying persons is 50 EUR.

A very limited number of reduced fees will be available upon request addressed to the organizers for those participants from Hungary and Romania, who register before March 15 with at least one paper.

Accommodation:

Accommodation will be provided at Pensiunea Sequoia, Săcuieu, Cluj.

Accomodation fee is 400 RON / person for 3 nights in 2-3 bed rooms.

Reservation is included in the conference registration form. The price should be paid at the pension. The accommodation expenses include breakfast, lunch, dinner and spa.
