Install and familiarize yourself with Cisco Packet Tracer simulator. Download Cisco Packet Tracer from Teams, install it and run it(Create an account if necessary using your UBB email address)

Inspect the various modules, networking equipment available in Packet Tracer

1. Instantiate PCs, laptops, switches and look at their properties.

2. Configure PC, laptops with static IPs

3. Interconnect PC and laptops with:

a. Direct cable connection (Ethernet)

b. Through a hub

c. Through a switch

4. Check there is connectivity using ping and tracert

5. Learn to use the Simulation Mode of Packet tracer and inspect traffic (and its behavior)
