Short Description:

The research activities of the current grant were related to the architecture, dynamics and features of a dynamic distributed proxy-cache system aimed at providing Internet media content (audio and video data) to clients within a local area network. We have proposed a system based on a small number of operations and we have also performed a series of measurements in order to determine its performance.

Together with colleagues from the department we have also focused on the support today's communication protocols are offering to multimedia applications and their behavior in case of congestion.
