Submitted papers must not have been previously accepted for publication or concurrently submitted for review in another journal, book, conference, or workshop. All submissions must be in PDF format and conform, at the time of submission, with the IEEE Conference Proceedings Formatting Guidelines https://conf.researchr.org/home/saner-2024. Also, papers must comply with the IEEE Policy on Authorship. All submissions must be in English.
The authors have three options for submitting their articles:
- New ideas paper: describing positions and new ideas on education and training in the software engineering and software testing domains. Technical format: up to 4 pages for the main text, including all figures, tables, and appendices; up to two additional pages containing only references.
- Research paper: describing original and completed research on education and training in the software engineering and software testing domain. Technical format: up to 10 pages for the main text, including all figures, tables, and appendices; up to two additional pages containing only references.
- Experience reports: describing an experience with lessons learned in education and training in the software engineering and software testing domains. Technical format: up to 10 pages for the main text, including all figures, tables, and appendices; up to two additional pages containing only references. Remark: Experience papers should contain the phrase “experience paper”‘ in the abstract to ensure that they are appropriately evaluated.
Important note: F-TRANSFER follows a full double-anonymous review process. In order to be compliant with the double-anonymous policy, submitted papers must adhere to the rules specified in the submission SANER 2024 homepage (https://conf.researchr.org/track/saner-2024/saner-2024-papers).
Submission site: EasyChair
Publication: The workshop proceedings will be included as a separate section of the proceedings of the main conference. (https://conf.researchr.org/track/saner-2024/saner-2024-workshops-and-tutorials-track-)
Submissions will be evaluated based on their category:
- Research Papers will be evaluated against these criteria: Relevance, Significance, Soundness, Verifiability, Presentation
- Experience Reports will be evaluated against these criteria: Relevance, Significance, Actionability, Lessons, Presentation
- Idea Papers will be evaluated against these criteria: Relevance, Significance, Soundness, Presentation
-Relevance: The extent to which the paper is relevant to F-TRANSFER;
–Significance: The extent to which the paper is well-motivated and its contributions are original and important, with respect to the existing literature on software engineering education and training.
–Soundness: The extent to which the paper’s contributions are supported by rigorous application of appropriate research methods;
–Actionability: The extent to which the paper provides actionable advice with clear takeaway messages;
–Lessons: The extent to which the paper meaningfully discusses lessons learned in terms of what went right, what went wrong, and what could be improved if the experience is repeated;
–Verifiability: The extent to which the paper includes sufficient information to support independent verification or replication of the paper’s claimed contributions;
–Presentation: The extent to which the paper’s quality of writing meets the standards: the paper is well-structured, with clear descriptions and explanations, appropriate use of the English language, absence of major ambiguity, clearly readable figures and tables, and adherence to the format according to the template specifications.
