- Title: Interdisciplinary work in AI applications development: a promising path for useful and ethical AI applications for education
- Abstract: In this presentation, I will outline the relevance of interdisciplinary collaboration between learning sciences and educational technology researchers, with computer science or software engineering researchers, in the development of useful, relevant and precise educational algorithms based on generative artificial intelligence using advanced prompt engineering, sophisticated RAG and fine tuning. I will outline a few examples of concrete examples of projects in which this is being done and draw a map of “possibilities”, while underlying some possible pitfals.
