On Thursday, October 6th, 2022, our colleague, Professor Emeritus Wolfgang W. Breckner, will reach the beautiful age of 80. He was a brilliant professor of our faculty, with outstanding results in scientific research that are internationally recognized. Numerous invitations from abroad for conferences or collaborations also prove this. He was an exceptional teacher whose lectures were characterized by thoroughness and clarity. His organizational qualities are also worth mentioning - as the head of the Department of Analysis and Optimization and as the Vice-Rector of the Babeș-Bolyai University, he provided valuable services to the department, the faculty and the university.
On this occasion, his colleagues wish him all the best, good health and a peaceful and long life surrounded by his family.
