Mathematics and Computer Science within Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU), on the first places nationwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022
The subject fields of Mathematics and Computer Science at BBU continue to rank high in international university rankings nationwide.
In the international ranking, "QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022", conducted by the British agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the subject field of Mathematics at BBU ranks first nationwide and 301-350 internationally. Computer Science also ranks first on par with other Romanian universities and is in place 451-500 in the British ranking.
The Babeș-Bolyai University is among the best universities in the world in 10 academic fields, according to the QS ranking.
"I am pleased that BBU ranks first (mostly) or second in the country in 10 of the 14 specific scientific/academic fields in which Romania is represented. It was only natural that the largest and most complex university in the country should be represented in most of the specific scientific/academic areas included in the ranking, but I am particularly pleased with the ranking. This is another confirmation that young people from Romania have a place at BBU where they can effectively study and/or conduct advanced research without having to leave the country, and that those from abroad have a place where they can be trained academically according to an internationally competitive model,"
says BBU Rector Prof. Daniel David in a press release published on the BBU website.
