The Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization has initiated the registration for the funding program “REGELE CAROL I “ in accordance with RE 403/2017, which has undergone amendments and supplements. The scholarships are available to high school graduates who have represented their country at least once in an international or national Olympiad and have won a gold medal/first place, a silver medal/second place, a bronze medal/third place, or an honorable mention while being enrolled in a higher education institution in Romania starting from the academic year 2022-2023.

The scholarship amounts are as follows:

1. 000 euros per year for winners who achieve the gold medal or first place at the international Olympiads; 5,500 euros per year for the silver medal or second place; 4,000 euros per year for the bronze medal or third place; and 2,500 euros for the mention.
2. The annual allocation for national-level award winners is 4,000 euros for the gold medal or first place, 3,500 euros for the silver medal or second place, 3,000 euros for the bronze medal or third place, and 2,500 euros for honorable mentions.

Furthermore, the following may be granted:

1. 1,000 euros per year and scholarship holder for the protection of intellectual property rights and/or participation in international scientific events;
2. Each team, consisting of at least two students from one or more universities, receives a maximum of 3,500 euros per year for materials, subassemblies, and subcontracts related to the implementation of technological demonstrations or the promotion of jointly developed ideas.

Applicants who meet the participation requirements must submit a completed application using the provided template electronically to nicolae.manciu@ubbcluj.ro by October 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM. You must add the diploma that confirms the award.
