In accordance with the Regulation on the Granting of Scholarships to Students, on bachelor’s and master’s level, and Regulation No. 6463/2023 of October 2, 2023

The first stage of the distribution of scholarships is displayed in the Academic Info application at https://academicinfo.ubbcluj.ro, which each student can access with their personal username and password.

The amount of the scholarship fund allocated to the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science for 2428 budgeted students is 852,531.90 lei.

The distribution of the scholarship fund was made in accordance with the Regulation of the Ministry of Education No. 6.463/2023, Art. 16, par. (1).

According to the institutional contract for scholarship funds and the standard cost of the scholarship fund, the Ministry of Education distributes the funds for granting scholarships from the state budget to higher education institutions in proportion to the total number of students enrolled in full-time tuition-free bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at the respective higher education institution.

The fund is divided according to specialization, subject areas, and years of study in proportion to the number of students, and it should be noted that the scholarships are awarded regardless of the form of financing.

All types of scholarships from state funds are awarded to students, regardless of the form of financing.

The distribution of scholarship funds by the Ministry of Education and the allocation of scholarships within the faculties are two completely different issues.

1. 96 performance scholarships from category 1, 460 performance scholarships from category 2, 221 social scholarships, and 12 temporary social scholarships (for clothes and shoes) were awarded at the level of our faculty to students enrolled in tuition-free and tuition-paying places.
2. The Faculty Scholarship Committee has approved the applications submitted for the temporary social scholarship, and the students will now receive the one-time equivalent of a temporary social scholarship, which is 900 lei.
3. The scholarship fund for the faculty is distributed at the faculty level as follows:
   – 15% – performance scholarship fund (144000 lei)
   – 55% of the merit scholarship fund (506000 lei)
   – 30% – social welfare scholarship fund (255,759.57 lei)
   Of the 30% of the funds (255,759.57 lei) allocated for social scholarships, only 20,500 lei were awarded. The unallocated social scholarship fund of 53259.57 lei was distributed in accordance with the regulation, with 25% for performance scholarships from category 1 and 75% for performance scholarships from category 2. At the faculty level, 31.90 lei remained as unused funds.
4. The amount of the scholarships is
   1. Performance scholarships from category 1: 1500 lei
   2. Performance scholarships from category 2: 1100 lei
   3. Social scholarships: 900 lei
   4. Temporary social scholarships: 900 lei/ paid once per semester

Scholarships for the first year were awarded according to the criteria of the entrance examination.
