This procedure is intended for students wishing to take the bachelor’s exam in the July 2025 session.

1. Turnitin will be used to verify the similarity of the bachelor thesis.
   • The group responsible will be contacted to receive access to the Turnitin software.
   • The similarity test of the bachelor’s thesis will be conducted using Turnitin without applying any filter.
   • If the similarity index exceeds 20% for valid reasons (e.g., bibliography, published article), filters are set with the scientific coordinator, and a similarity report is generated.
2. If applicable, a request for recognition/equivalence of a previous bachelor’s exam is submitted by email to the responsible secretary between June 10-12, 2025. The e-mail addresses can be found here: https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/despre-facultate/structura/secretariatul-facultatii/
3. Students ensure timely access to the https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/apps/lucrari platform, including the coordinating professor’s name.
4. Students must upload to the https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/apps/lucrari platform by June 16, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The following information:
   • The final version of the paper in PDF format, together with the abstract in English, which will be integrated immediately after the title page.
   • A ZIP archive containing the application (if applicable) and Annex 5 (Declaration of Authenticity of the thesis).
   • Between June 16-20, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the secretaries of the bachelor committees will verify the bachelor’s thesis, test its similarity using Turnitin without any filter, and send the resolution to the thesis coordinator.
   • Between June 20, 2025, 2:00 PM – June 24, 2025, 12:00 PM, the thesis coordinators will give their approval for the defense; students whose bachelor’s theses have not received the teacher’s approval by this date/time will not be accepted for registration for the final exam.
5. Students can register for the final exam between June 18 and June 24, 2025, by uploading scanned documents to https://inscrieri.ubbcluj.ro/ifs. The bachelor’s exam application will be validated after June 25, 2025, when the coordinating faculty member accepts it. If the teaching staff’s agreement is not obtained, the application for the bachelor’s exam will be refused.
    
   Please merge all of the files into a single PDF file with the form name “Last Name Parent’s Initial First Name.pdf” – for example, “POPESCU I. IOAN-VASILE.pdf” – and send this document to the registration platform’s “Application” box:
   • Birth certificate – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • Passport – for foreign students.
   • Baccalaureate Diploma – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • High School Transcript – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • Application form – after completion list, sign and send in pdf format.
   • Only graduates who do not have a valid language proficiency certificate are requested to attach a scanned copy of their new language proficiency certificate.

   Note: ID photos must be submitted by the graduates in physical format (two photos, size ¾) to the secretary of the thesis committee at the time of entering the hall for defending the thesis. The two photos will be placed in an envelope, and the envelope will be marked with Name, Father’s Initial and First Name, Major, Line of Study, Graduation Exam July 2025 session. For example:

   Examen de Licenta sesiunea iulie 2025

   For older graduating classes, students are requested to submit the following documents with their application for the bachelor’s exam (please merge all the files into a single PDF file with the name of the form “Last name Parent’s Initial First Name.pdf” – ex. “POPESCU I. IOAN-VASILE.pdf” and upload this document in the “Application” field in the registration platform):

   • Birth certificate – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • Passport – for foreign students.
   • Baccalaureate Diploma – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • High School Transcript – scanned copy in PDF format.
   • Application form – after completion list, sign and send in pdf format.
   • Only graduates who do not have a valid language proficiency certificate are requested to attach a scanned copy of their new language proficiency certificate. Note: ID photos must be submitted by the graduates in physical format (two photos, ¾ size) to the secretary of the thesis committee at the time of entering the hall for defending the thesis. The two photos will be placed in an envelope, and the envelope will be marked with Name, Father’s Initial and First Name, Major, Line of Study, Graduation Exam July 2025 session. For example:

   • Proof of payment of the fee for those who are in their third presentation for the bachelor’s exam or graduates of the year 20222 and previous years.

   On June 27, 2025, the secretary of the bachelor’s exam committee will post the distribution of candidates for the face-to-face oral examination of the bachelor’s test, as well as the date and time of the final paper defense.

The calendar of the final examination tests:

Exam 1: Evaluation of fundamental and specialized knowledge, written test in the face-to-face system: June 30, 2025;

Display of results for the written test: July 1, 2025, 9:00 a.m.

Submission of appeals: July 1, 2025, between 9:00-13:00,  by submitting a form here.

Resolution of appeals: July 2, 2025, 12:00 noon

Exam 2: Presentation and defense of the bachelor thesis (oral exam) in the face-to-face system: July 2 – 3, 2025

NOTE: The Faculty Council maintains the right to change the timeline for the bachelor’s test in accordance with any future regulations.
