Dear Colleagues,

On the 14^th of March 2022, the Population and Housing Census, the fundamental statistical survey for every state, which is organized every ten years, began. This year's Census is taking place under exceptional conditions, being fully digitized.

I invite you to support the National Institute of Statistics and opt either to self-censor or to have census takers visit you for data collection, according to the schedule below:

• 14 March - 15 May: online self-census and assisted self-census (details in the attached document);
• 16 May - 17 July: census takers will visit households and individuals who have not self-enrolled and collect the questionnaire data using the tablets.

It is important to get involved so that the data collected is as conclusive as possible and reflects the situation of the Romanian society as well as possible.
