Team Manuscrito in the world finals of Imagine Cup 2022, Education section
The Imagine Cup is Microsoft's largest technology competition worldwide, where thousands of students competed this year with exciting projects incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Power Platform, and Big Data.
Teams participated in this year's 4 sections of the competition: Earth, Education, Health, and Lifestyle, and a total of 48 global finalist teams were selected. The results of the regional phase judging were recently released and as a result, Team Manuscrito has advanced to the global finals!
The team consists of Andrei-Mihai Vasil, Octavian-Alexandru Trifan, Anastasia Susciuc, Tudor Tișe (2nd-year students in Computer Science, English line), and Paul-Tudor Pop (4th- year student at UTCN).
The solution proposed by Manuscrito is a tablet app that helps children learn to handwrite more easily. It offers an interactive and multidisciplinary method of learning handwriting that engages children in a game of knowledge.
The app will be available on tablets and will use artificial intelligence algorithms to understand children's learning needs, including the special needs of children with disabilities. It will enable them to combine the desire to spend time in the digital world with the need to learn in a fun and engaging way. Parents and teachers will have access to real-time feedback and extensive statistics and the ability to track children's progress.
Three teams will be selected in the coming period and the final winner will be announced in May. The winning team will receive a $100,000 reward as well as a mentoring session with Microsoft President and CEO Satya Nadella as part of the Imagine Cup World Championship.
We wish them the best of luck!
